Orchid mounting workshop

The Gulf Coast Orchid Alliance orchid club will hold an orchid mounting workshop during its monthly meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 at the Naples Conference Center, 1455 Pine Ridge Road, Naples. Club member John Ervin, an experienced orchid grower, will demonstrate mounting techniques and provide instructions for successful plant care of bare root orchids. A hands-on activity will follow.

The meeting will include approximately 100 blooming plants of different varieties brought by members for judging and awards, opportunities to take orchids home, and light refreshments.

Guests are welcome to attend the monthly meetings with free admission or to join for $40 and receive club benefits that include free orchids several times a year.
