About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 15 minutes

It is clear that reference agencies will play an even more important role in the future as maturing agencies decide how to build their local capacity and rely on others for many common regulatory activities. During this webinar, our presenters will describe research on what capabilities a reference agency can offer to others, they will share updates on how the GBT/WLA programs are going, and will provide a perspective on how pharmaceutical companies are supporting regulatory system strengthening of reference agencies. This webinar will highlight best practices that can facilitate synergies between agencies and companies and will provide practical next steps for these stakeholders regarding reference agency support and interactions.

The agenda is as follows:

  • TOPIC 1: Understanding System Readiness: What are the core characteristics of a reference agency?
  • TOPIC 2: Advancing the use of the GBT and WLA categorizations.
  • TOPIC 3: How do pharmaceutical companies support system strengthening of reference agencies? (Susanne Ausborn, PhD, Global Head International Regulatory Policy, Roche )

The webinar is schedule for 9:00am to 10:15am Eastern Time on Tuesday June 24, 2025. Stay tuned for the announcement of our distiguished speakers.
