About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

In Optics of Aging, a feature documentary by Rhode Island filmmaker Michelle Le Brun, stereotypes of ageism are dissolved. The beauty of aging is revealed through five elders who have shaped the landscape of Rhode Island and beyond. Their voices take flight against the backdrop of archival imagery that captures the vision of an earlier time.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with producer and Director Michelle Le Brun.

Optics of Aging was a nominee at the Montreal Film Festival, the official selection for the Rhode Island Black Film Festival, and Spotlight Lighthouse Award Winner at the Block Island Film Festival.
