Abstract:

Presentation Abstract – The technology world is rapidly changing, and the world of artificial intelligence (AI) is changing at breakneck speed. This unprecedented change is an opportunity to take advantage of and a challenge to deal with. This change effects everyone including our own industry. We need to understand this technology and apply it to the proper use for the benefit of the society and put appropriate controls in place to follow the normal cybersecurity and business ethics. Let’s discuss what VDOT is doing to understand this disruptive technology, and how they are planning to put appropriate controls around it. AI can be applied to the services provided to the citizens and in the way we do business. Let’s identify and discuss some use cases for AI in our industry and business through open dialogue.
