Mirus Gallery Denver is proud to announce “Revelator” a solo exhibition by local Denver artist Travis Gillan.  This exhibition presents a brand new collection of intricate paintings inviting viewers into a multi-dimensional exploration of consciousness, symbolism, and transformation.  At the heart of Revelator is a powerful emblem—an original visual symbol conceived by Gillan to reconcile the fragmented collective consciousness.  Join us for the opening reception on Friday September 12, 6-10pm 

About the Exhibition: 

Revelator is a collection of paintings that unveils a consciousness-altering symbol intended to reconcile the schism in the collective psyche. This emblem—a beacon of inner transformation—tears away the illusion of separation, illuminating the unity that underlies the many. It calls us beyond the dualistic subject/object paradigm of the human mind, urging a shift toward inner coherence. Reflecting the reciprocal nature of reality, the symbol reveals how our inner world continuously shapes the outer, blurring the boundary between the higher forces that rise from within and those that descend from above.

About the Artist: 

Travis Gillan’s work is rich with layered symbolism, each piece unfolding like a meditation—revealing deeper insights into the nature of human consciousness and glimpses of what may lie beyond the threshold of a new dawn. The conceptual rigor of the work is grounded in a meticulously balanced synthesis of form and a refined, opulent color harmony. Each composition reflects a deliberate orchestration of chromatic nuance and structural precision, revealing a thoughtful interplay between surface and depth. Flat, saturated shapes intersect with volumetric forms, disrupting conventional spatial hierarchies and generating a visual tension that both collapses and expands the perceived dimensional field within a cohesive pictorial framework.
