King County Parks is excited to open the latest segment of the Lake to Sound Trail. The Lake to Sound Trail will be a 16-mile non-motorized, multi-use recreational trail spanning from the south end of Lake Washington in Renton, all the way to the shoreline of Puget Sound in Des Moines when complete.

One of the first trails to make connections between our larger network of Regional Trails System, the Lake to Sound Trail will connect five cities in south King County, as well as four other major regional trails.

This latest segment in SeaTac and Burien combines a segment completed in 2016 with the Des Moines Memorial Creek Trail, creating more than 7 miles of contiguous trail.
