Join us for a screening of Open Water (2003), a survival thriller/drama based on the true story of two scuba divers accidentally stranded in shark-infested waters after their tour boat has left. Made without a crew for a budget of $120,000, Open Water premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, went on to become one of the 20 most profitable low-budget movies of all time, and is generally acknowledged as one of the best shark movies ever made.

Followed by a talkback with the film’s director (and Filmshop member) Chris Kentis, moderated by Filmshop’s Director of Operations, Nina Gielen.
