Join us at Mercado Art Studio for Open Studio Fridays, a unique monthly experience where you’ll enjoy a guided studio tour and a 1-hour “try it out” pottery session. Choose between the pottery wheel or a clay handbuilding lesson — perfect for beginners, couples, and friends looking for a relaxing, creative night out.

For just $35, each participant receives:

• A 1-hour instructor-led pottery experience (wheel or handbuilding)
• One ball of clay (additional clay available for $10 each)
• Complimentary beverages
• A guided tour of our studio and creative community space

Whether you want to spin clay on the wheel or sculpt something by hand, our instructors will demonstrate how to center, shape, and form your own pottery piece.

What You’ll Experience:

You’ll start with a tour of Mercado Art Studio — a welcoming hub for creativity, mindfulness, and clay art. Then dive into a hands-on pottery session designed to help you unwind, focus, and express yourself through clay.

Solo creative time & self-care

The Aftermath:

After your class, one of our studio techs will glaze your work based on the color you’ve chosen, then fire it in our kilns. You’ll receive a notification when your pieces are ready for pickup (please allow 2–4 weeks).

You’ll also have the option to return and paint your own creation once it’s ready! There’s a $20 fee for coming back to paint your piece, or we can glaze it for you at no additional cost.
