Agenda:
- Blockchain Credentials Integration for the Open edX LMS via POK
Speaker: Guido Grinbaum, Founder of POKDiscover how POK is revolutionizing digital credentialing by issuing verifiable digital credentials—such as micro-credentials, certificates, diplomas, badges, and proof of attendance—as NFTs on the blockchain. Guido Grinbaum will delve into the platform’s core features, benefits, and its global impact on education and professional certification. Following this, the Aulasneo team will demonstrate the new POK–Open edX integration, showcasing how educational institutions can seamlessly issue POK credentials directly from their Open edX instances. - Enhancing Exam Integrity with Talview’s AI-Powered Proctoring
Speakers: Joseph Alphonse Abraham, Credentialing Solutions Advisor & Andrea Elizabeth, Certifications Solutions SpecialistExplore how Talview’s AI-powered proctoring solution addresses the evolving landscape of online exam security. Vedant Singh will present Talview’s intelligent proctoring agent, Alvy, and discuss multi-layered features such as secure exam browsers, secondary camera monitoring, and advanced ID verification. Learn how these tools help maintain the credibility of assessments and enhance user experience, as demonstrated by successful implementations like Cambridge University Press & Assessment. - Open Source Gamification Framework by NAU and Raccoon Gang: Engaging Learners Beyond the Basics
Speakers: Representatives from NAU and Raccoon GangIn this session, we’ll present an open-source gamification framework co-developed by NAU, the national MOOC platform of Portugal, and Raccoon Gang. Designed to enrich learner engagement, the framework features leaderboards, badges, customizable avatars, and multi-level difficulty modes. The solution is publicly available and built for seamless integration with Open edX platforms based on the Redwood release. We’ll share the reasoning behind this initiative, the challenges faced during development, and how this contribution can empower the Open edX community to offer more engaging, learner-centered experiences. This session will be valuable for platform teams, developers, and instructional designers exploring gamification in open online education.
Who Should Attend:
This session is ideal for platform administrators, educators, developers, and anyone interested in the future of digital credentialing and exam integrity within open-source learning environments.
