Open Dance Class: Parallel Patterns

Talent Box is located on the 2nd floor of the LA Isla Arcade Building, University Dr in Mangilao. It is the same building as Everyday Chinese restaurant.

We recommend arriving 5-10 mins before class starts, so you can sign in and get settled.

Wear comfortable clothes you can freely move in. Grip socks or bare feet will be best for this class. You are welcome to wear flat dance shoes or sneakers too. Just steer away from “rocker” sneakers as flatter soles will provide you with more stability.

The style of dance is lyrical where movement is often inspired by the lyrics of a song. During this class we'll lean on different jazz and modern techniques to create movement that expresses emotions and tells a story.

Yes. The instructor will provide variations of movement where needed. Please be aware there will be movements on the ground, partner work, some unconventional steps and an invitation to improvise. Lean into it! Give it a go :)

We’ll start with a warm-up and jump straight into learning the lyrical combination.
