About this event

Science & Tech • Science

This workshop, sponsored by UCR's GradSuccess, introduces the landscape of open access repositories and publishing with a special focus on eScholarship, the University of California’s open access repository and publishing platform.

You'll learn how to deposit your work in open repositories, understand your rights as an author, and identify the best repository for different types of research outputs—from articles and preprints to datasets and code.

We’ll also discuss licensing options, citation tracking, and how the open access mission supports academic equity and global reach.

Whether you are just beginning your publishing journey or already established, you’ll leave with practical strategies to share your research widely, responsibly, and with greater impact.

The UCR Library is proud to participate in International Open Access Week, a worldwide effort celebrating Open Access. For a full schedule of UCR's Open Access Week events and workshops, visit our Open Access Week page: library.ucr.edu/OpenAccessWeek2025.
