Description
Event Series Description
The Pathfinder Projects and Jisc warmly invite you to a summer series of open access (OA) events to celebrate the end of the two-year Open Access Good Practice (OAGP) initiative.
The work undertaken over the last two years by the nine community-led Pathfinder Projects falls under five themes: advocacy, cost management, workflows and structures, metadata and systems, and baselining and policy.
We are holding five events across the UK to showcase what has been achieved in these five categories.
All events are free and suitable for librarians, research officers, and other institutional support staff who work in the area of OA.
Metadata and Systems: 4th July, University of Edinburgh
At this event, hosted by the LOCH project, attendees will be introduced to a variety of tools and resources devised by project members in order to help with implementing and using OA systems and metadata. Project participants will also share their experiences of best practice approaches.
Breakout sessions in the afternoon will allow attendees to discuss further the challenges faced when implementing, developing, and working with OA systems and metadata.
