Ontario Childcare Operators: CWELCC Campaign Kick-Off & Information Session
Overview
The next few months are critical for our childcare sector. The current Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) agreements — which determine our funding structure — are set to expire in March 2026. As the federal and provincial governments begin negotiations for the next five-year term, we have a small but crucial window to act.
If we want truly affordable, sustainable, and high-quality care, we must ensure Ontario’s leaders enter negotiations with a clear and overwhelming mandate for change — and that mandate comes from you.
Why This Meeting Matters
Over the past year, the ACE National Advocacy Team has engaged directly with Minister Calandra and other key provincial and federal officials.
The great news: Ontario’s leadership agrees that changes are needed to fix CWELCC.
The challenge: They need visible, organized public support to make it happen.
This campaign is our opportunity to deliver that message — loud and clear.
