About this event

On&On is a series of movement sessions organized by On and led by artists in the PS1 community. Each session offers an opportunity to connect with our bodies, the city, and the many communituties of Queens. Sessions range from plant walks to neighborhood runs to mobility focused workouts, each led by a creator whose work engages movement, landscape, and embodiment as part of their practice.

Join Dion Olivier of @flux_vitality for a mobility-focused workout with an emphasis on personal physiological exploration. Informed by his ongoing physical therapy studies and his goal of relieving common aches through strengthening the body, Dion will begin the class by asking “What hurts today?” Modifications provided across a range of accessibility for all fitness levels.

On is proud to partner with MoMA PS1 to make possible this series of initiatives at the intersection of movement and art.

Organized by

MoMA PS1 champions how art and artists are at the intersection of the social, cultural, and political issues of their time. Founded in 1976 by Alanna Heiss, the institution was a defining force in the alternative space movement in New York City, transforming a nineteenth century public schoolhouse in Long Island City into a site for artistic experimentation and creativity.
