Synopsis: "Only God Can Change Me"

The gospel musical stage play, Only God Can Change Me, is a powerful, emotional story about the high cost of holding onto the past and the transformative journey toward genuine forgiveness.

The narrative centers on Charlene Franks, a vibrant woman grappling with the deep consequences of a life lived outside of faith. Her struggle creates a seismic divide between her and her family. While she fights for a second chance, she is met with sharp judgment and resistance, primarily from her aunt, Aunt Gracy, who serves as the voice of the community’s unforgiving past.

Standing as a rock of unwavering compassion is Lisa Lee, a spiritual elder whose life of quiet faith becomes Charlene’s only path toward healing.

Set to a powerful score of contemporary gospel music, the play is a vivid exploration of brokenness, redemption, and the undeniable truth that some battles—especially those fought within the soul—require a power greater than ourselves. Only God Can Change Me is a moving testament to the enduring hope found in surrender and the profound legacy of a life renewed.

This play serves as the launch of the TMOC The Ministry of Creativity and the foundation for the A Time to Heal 10-City Tour, dedicated to preparing the next generation of faith-based filmmakers.
