ONLINE: Pragmatic Mindfulness in Turbulent Times, Greater Victoria, BC.
Overview
We live in a turbulent world — anxious and worried, overwhelmed, and often just struggling to stay afloat.
Pragmatic Mindfulness is a skillful way to ease our worries, lighten feelings of overwhelm, and soften the frustration and anger that ripple through us.
In this one-hour VIRTUAL program, we will explore our agitated nervous systems and learn simple, practical ways to calm down and be more present. This is the pragmatic part: we will walk through how these skills can become part of our daily lives.
Being a little calmer and more in control of our emotions is an innate quality within us. We don’t have to create it — we simply allow it to arise. Like walking on a beautiful day, we let the sunshine in, feel it, know it, and experience it.
Bill Wagg is a long-time Buddhist of over 40 years. He has lived and studied in India with renowned Tibetan Teachers and has completed many meditation retreats. His focus is to bring Buddhist teachings in a manner supportive of our Western lifestyle and psychology.
In addition to his mindfulness teaching, Bill brings over 30 years of experience as a therapist working with individuals, couples, and families. His counselling practice supports people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and emotional distress.
Bill is currently welcoming new clients to his counselling practice at NeurAlive Counselling & Neurofeedback, in-person in Langford, BC, and virtually throughout BC. Visit neuralive.org for more information.
