The Intermedia and Digital Arts (IMDA) MFA Program at UMBC is a three year, 60 credit graduate program with private studios in Baltimore’s progressive art community. IMDA faculty are nationally and internationally recognized artists, filmmakers, designers and scholars with active exhibition and publication records. IMDA offers one on one feedback from world-renown visiting artists, independent teaching opportunities, professional exhibition venues and dedicated fabrication, media and physical computing labs. UMBC is a top-ranked national R1 research University with an inclusive culture that provides students with access to research centers and broad interdisciplinary opportunities. We offer Graduate Assistantships with Full and Partial Funding that include tuition remission, health insurance and stipends, as well as opportunities for other merit based financial support.
