By Derry Print Workshop

Overview

Get creative in this experimental and accessible Lithography process during this one-day class.
  • Suitable for those already familiar with the principles of printmaking, who is looking to further their knowledge and experiment with a new technique.
  • Refreshments provided

Kitchen Lithography is an experimental printmaking technique invented in 2011 by Émilie Aizier. It is based on the traditional principles of stone lithography but instead of using a lithography stone, we use tinfoil as the base for our plate and a fizzy drink to etch the plate.

This workshop is ideal for someone already familiar with the principles of printmaking, who is looking to further their knowledge and experiment with a new technique. In this bite-size course, in order to maximise learning, participants should come prepared with an idea of what they would like to draw.

You will learn the fundamentals of Kitchen Lithography and leave with a small edition of experimental lithographs.
