About the speakers

Entrepreneur Kara Goldin is the founder and CEO of Hint inc., the San Francisco-based company which produces the leading unsweetened flavored water. hint® recently launched a sunscreen spray that is oxybenzone and paraben-free and scented with hint fruit essence. Kara has been named among Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs and Forbes’ 40 Women to Watch Over 40. The Huffington Post listed her as one of six disruptors in business, alongside Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg. Further accolades include EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017 Northern California, SF Business Times Most Influential Woman, Fast Company Most Creative People in Business, EY Winning Woman 2012, Fortune Most Innovative Women in Food & Drink 2015, NACIE appointee 2016 (recently resigned), the Gold Stevie award for Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Amex OPENforum’s Women to Watch, and the Marketers That Matter award for Brand Building, Small Company. Previously, Kara was Vice President of Shopping and E-commerce Partnerships at AOL, where she helped lead the growth of its startup shopping business to a $1 billion enterprise. Kara is an active business speaker and writer, a member of C200, and a member of SFBay YPO, the world’s premier chief executive leadership organization. In 2016, Kara launched The Kara Network, a digital resource and mentoring platform for aspiring and established entrepreneurs, and she recently launched the podcast Unstoppable, where she interviews founders, entrepreneurs and disruptors across various industries. Anne Fulenwider was named Editor-in-Chief of the U.S. edition of Marie Claire in September 2012. She oversees all content for the brand’s print magazine, website, tablet editions and brand extensions, including Marie Claire @Work and the brand’s partnership with Lifetime Television’s “Project Runway” series.

Before taking the editor-in-chief role at Marie Claire, Fulenwider had been editor-in-chief of Brides since October 2011. Prior to that, she served as executive editor of Marie Claire for two years, starting in September 2009.

Previously, Fulenwider served as senior articles editor at Vanity Fair, where she edited features and launched the Fanfair section of the magazine in March 2000. Prior to Vanity Fair, Fulenwider was a senior editor at The Paris Review and served as George Plimpton’s research assistant on his book “Truman Capote.”

In 2013, Fulenwider was named Media Industry Newsletter’s “Editor of the Year,” and she serves on the boards of several prominent organizations, including the ANNpower Vital Voices Advisory Council (since 2013), the ITVS Women & Girls Lead Leadership Council (since 2014), and All in Together, Women Leading Change.

Fulenwider graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in English and American Literature from Harvard University in 1995.

Esi Eggleston Bracey is a seasoned executive leader with nearly 27 years experience in general management and brand building. She has a proven track record of success in creating, accelerating and turning around business results across categories, sectors and geographies.

Esi currently leads the multi-billion dollar Personal Care portfolio for Unilever North America which
includes responsibility for the Hair, Skin Cleansing, Skin Care and Deodorant businesses with iconic
brands like Dove, Degree, TRESemmé and Axe as well as newly acquired Shea Moisture and Schmidt’s
Naturals.

Prior to joining Unilever, Esi held the position of President of Coty’s Global Consumer Beauty Division
and General Manager and global leader of P&G’s COVERGIRL and Max Factor brands.
An energetic and dynamic leader known for creativity and out-of- the-box thinking, she is consistently
recognized for her ability to guide organiztions through brand-building excellence, agilty and
operational discipline in light of competitive pressure and a rapidly-evolving marketplace.


A native of Chicago, Illinois, Esi graduated from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire with a
Bachelor of Arts in Engineering Sciences. Esi currently lives with her family in New York City.
