Opening Exhibit & Environmental Awareness Night

Event Overview:

Join us for the opening of ON THE MOVE, a powerful new exhibition by internationally acclaimed artist Federico Uribe, presented by Copperbridge Foundation. This immersive installation explores themes of migration, resilience, and the shared human experience through Uribe’s signature sculptural storytelling. Using discarded travel bags, recycled leather suitcases, and worn clothing, Uribe transforms the ordinary into a profound narrative of displacement and belonging. As part of Copperbridge Foundation’s ongoing commitment to social dialogue through the arts, the evening will also feature localnonprofit partners dedicated to environmental preservation and community wellbeing—inviting attendees to engage with organizations working to protect South Florida’s ecosystems and promote sustainable living.

Featured Installations:

On The Move A vivid sculptural installation reflecting the global story of migration, identity, and human endurance. Life-size figures and animals constructed from recycled suitcases and garments bring forward emotional tales of journey and transformation.

Plastic Reef A breathtaking coral reef made entirely from discarded plastics—bottles, flip-flops, utensils, and caps—originally exhibited during the Venice Biennale (2019). This work confronts our relationship with consumption and nature, illuminating the fragile balance of life beneath the ocean’s surface.

His works blend humor, humanity, and ecological consciousness, transcending form and material to reveal profound truths about our world.Uribe’s pieces have been exhibited internationally, captivating audiences with their emotional resonance and technical ingenuity.
