On The Inside is Addam Ledamyen's final project of their MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and Writing at CIIS. Set in a near future, the play follows a family who sits on top of the world, both literally and metaphorically. When the president's child discovers their gender isn't what everyone assumed (something legally deemed impossible), the family must finally face their own secrets. On the Inside explores the hidden places of power, the hidden family troubles, and the hidden parts of ourselves that are always kept from the public eye. Both timely and timeless, this play puts “the inside” on public display and demands an honest reckoning.
The performance will begin at 5:00pm, and there will be a brief talk-back afterwards.
