Is this a style-specific seminar?

No - practitioners of all martial arts styles are welcome to attend. This seminar will present principles applicable to all martial arts.

Will there be a break for lunch?

Yes - many restaurants are located in the vicinity of Larry Isaac's Martial Arts Center. That being said, the lunch break will be limited to one hour (11-12) in order to resume class promptly; it may be a good idea to order your food before you leave to pick it up, as restaurants may be busy.

Do I need to be a black belt to attend?

All students Green belt (Intermediate students) and above are welcome to attend. The material covered in this seminar is intended to deepen and broaden martial artists' understanding of the art they practice.

Are there changing rooms on site?

There is a changing room and a single-stall restroom; staff recommends wearing your martial arts uniform to the event to prevent congestion. Please be prepared to remove shoes and place them on the shelf when you arrive; bags and belongings should be left in vehicles if possible.

What should I bring to the seminar?

Please bring your questions, a notebook, and a pen or pencil to record notes. If you prefer, you are also welcome to bring mat shoes.

Who is Hanshi Bill Hayes?

Mr. Hayes is a retired Major in the Marine Corps; a senior student of the legendary Okinawan master Eizo Shimabukuro; and the author of the staple martial arts book, My Journey with the Grandmaster. His highly-sought-after wisdom elevates experienced martial artists and new martial artists alike.
