Schenectady Firefighters Cancer Foundation
Founded in 2012 after two local firefighters were diagnosed with cancer, this foundation provides comfort, financial assistance, education, and advocacy to Schenectady Fire Department members and their families. Run entirely by full-time firefighters volunteering their time, they also bring cutting-edge prevention and screening opportunities to their members.
Albany Firefighters Cancer & Disability Foundation (AFCDF)
AFCDF offers financial support for treatment costs, transportation, and lodging, while also promoting cancer prevention, fitness, mental well-being, and access to screenings. Their mission is to empower firefighters and their families to lead healthier, safer lives during service and into retirement.
Every raffle ticket, donation, and pint raised helps provide vital support for these two organizations — ensuring our local heroes and their families get the care and resources they need during their toughest battles.
