Speaker Information: Chairman John A. “Rocky” Barrett has served as an elected official for the Citizen Potawatomi Nation since 1973. He was first elected as Vice-Chairman and has served as Chairman since 1985. Barrett is the eighth generation of his family to serve in elected office for CPN. Under his leadership, the Nation has gone from having assets totaling just $550 and less than three acres of land to an entity having an annual economic impact exceeding $550 million. Chairman Barrett was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in 2023. He is the recipient of the Native American Finance Officer Association’s 2025 Tribal Leader of the Year. The Citizen Potawatomi Nation has more than 38,000 Tribal citizens around the world.

Geoffrey Standing Bear is his third term as Osage Nation Principal Chief. Before his election, Chief Standing Bear practiced law for 34 years. He served as Assistant Principal Chief of the Osage Tribe from 1990 through 1994 and was a Member of the Osage Nation Congress from 2010 to 2014. In 2017, Chief Standing Bear was recognized by Oklahoma Magazine as an Oklahoman of the Year. Principal Chief Standing Bear sees the Osage Nation expanding its land base, maintaining its vibrant traditions, and returning the Osage language to daily use. His belief is that this and much more can be done through the power of the Osage child, and it is, therefore, the duty of all his people to protect and nurture the children of the Nation. The Osage Nation has over 25,000 enrolled citizens.

Jacob “Jake” Keyes is the Chairman of the Iowa Tribe, having previously served as the Vice-Chairman. His entrepreneurial background influences his leadership focus on economic development to improve job opportunities for tribal citizens. Keyes, the founder of Skydance Brewing Co., has made Native Business Magazine’s list of Top 50 Native Entrepreneurs. He has worked in casino management for the Iowa Tribe and has been a strong advocate for the Tribe’s new casino resort project. The Iowa Tribe’s recently completed state of the art medical building and childcare after school facility provide much needed resources for the local community. With more than 800 enrolled tribal members, the Iowa Tribe calls itself Baxoje (Bah Kho-je), meaning “People of the Grey snow”.
