About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Off-the-Record at The Raye is a new, thoughtfully curated speaker series hosted on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Four Seasons Room next to the exercise room. Open exclusively to residents and their invited guests. As the series name suggests — just candid conversation in a private, respectful setting. Modeled loosely after the spirit of the City Club of Cleveland, each evening begins with short, informal remarks from our guest, followed by an engaging, intelligent Q&A with our audience.

On Wednesday, September 17, Off-the-Record at The Raye will welcome Kathy and Dennis Barrie, a dynamic Cleveland-based couple known for their deep involvement in the arts and cultural world; Dennis as a provocative museum director and consultant best known for his role in the Mapplethorpe obscenity trial; and Kathy as a talented writer, producer and creative force in storytelling. Together, they’ve championed bold, boundary-pushing projects that explore the intersection of art, culture and free expression.
