About this event

Music • World

“Of Roots and Colors” is a musical journey across the vast cultural landscape of Greater Iran.

Iran is a land with an ancient history, shaped by the convergence of diverse peoples, cultures, and traditions—communities whose presence extends even beyond the present-day political borders of the country. The music of its many regions offers the most vivid expression of this cultural richness, serving as a living mirror of the deep historical ties that bind its people.

In this program, the audience embarks on a voyage through this colorful diversity: from the melodies of Khorasan and Tajikistan in the northeast, to the songs of Fars in the center, and the Bakhtiari, Luri, and Kurdish voices echoing in the majestic Zagros mountains of the west. “Of Roots and Colors” is a bridge between the east and west of the Iranian cultural sphere—a journey that transcends geography, revealing the shared roots of Iran’s many peoples while celebrating the beauty of their differences.
