How does the virtual event differ from in-person Talk-O-Tuesdays?

We will be leveraging technology to reimagine our typical in-person conversation format. We will begin each session in a virtual lobby. After introductions, we will enjoy conversations about the topic for the evening, in smaller, moderator-led groups, finishing off the session back in the lobby.

What is the role of the moderator?

Accepted Answer

The moderator's primary role is to ensure that each fellow has an enjoyable experience. They will largely be responsible for making sure every perspective, opinion, and experience is respected, and that those who desire to share have an opportunity to do so.

Question 3

Do I have to have my camera on during the entire session?

Accepted Answer

We want to give every fellow the dignity of being able to see with whom they are having conversations. If you are off camera for more than 5 minutes, you will receive a reminder from the moderator. If you remain off camera or return often to being off camera, you will be removed from the session.

Question 4

What are the ways one can be removed from the session

Accepted Answer

Fellow reserves the right to remove anyone from the virtual event, deemed to be disrespectful and/or disruptive.  A warning will always be our first response (when possible) in these matters. Be advised, if you are removed from any session/event, you will be ineligible for a refund.

Question 5

What happens if, after rsvping for the virtual event,  I am unable to attend?
