About this event

  • Event lasts 8 hours 30 minutes

This course has been developed as a stand alone class, but complements my OC Instructor course.
I developed this class after numerous requests by people outside of the law enforcement world for a class that incorporates a live OC exposure for the student, and the couner-assault tactics and decon experience that is typically only seen in LE only training.

Students attending may volunteer for a live exposure and to be run through a counter-assault/survival evo, but this is not mandatory.

Topics covered in this course;

Review of OC types and best practices for use

Extensive practical drills using inert OC

The MUC paradigm and recognizing pre-assault/crimial attack cues

Verbal skills

De-escalation/escalation of force and options, and decision making

Counter-assault and Survival tactics if attacked with OC spray

Decon procedures

Students should bring;

Note taking material.

A dummy pistol that matches their carry gun/holster if they have one. Otherwise I will have several Glock loaner dummy guns to work with.

If the student is going to participate in the live exposure drills they should bring a change of clothes, two towels, and baby shampoo, so that they can decon, then shower and change clothes afterwards. If you wear contacts you'll want to bring glasses to wear after cleaning up from the live exposure. A shower facility is available on site.

Bring water/drinks/snacks/lunch

There is a $20 cash range fee due on the morning of class.
