Oak Tree Planting at Ensen Community Park – Floodplain Restoration Project
Overview
Oak Tree Planting at Ensen Community Park
Join us for a hands-on conservation effort at Big Sur Land Trust’s Floodplain Restoration Project site in Ensen Community Park! Together, we’ll plant 30 native oak trees to help restore the local ecosystem and create a healthier environment for wildlife and the community.
Big Sur Land Trust and River Partners will lead the event, providing expert instruction and all necessary tools. They will pre-dig some holes to make the process easier. Volunteers can choose to work in pairs or small groups to dig the remaining holes, insert trees, and fill them with dirt and straw.
If time and interest allow, we’ll also plant smaller native plant plugs to further enhance the restoration area.
No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm for nature and community!
