About this event
With speakers of as many as 800 languages, contemporary New York City is the most linguistically diverse place in the history of the world.
Since 2018, the Endangered Language Alliance (ELA) has been planning a poetry anthology centered on New York in dozens of the city's endangered, Indigenous, minority, and primarily oral languages - from Abenaki to Yiddish.
Join us on June 13 at 6:30 at ELA to learn more about the anthology and hear readings from several poets working in radically different languages from around the world but today all based in New York.
*Event is free and open to all. Note that this is the season finale of Unheard Of: Languages and Literatures From Around the World*
