About this event

Music • Other

Come see your Pacific Northwest colleagues share musical activities that work for them in the classroom. Choral conductor and in-demand adjudicator Kyra Rengstorf will lead a choral reading session. Participants will take home many great pieces for beginning and intermediate choirs compliments of JW Pepper. Our new NWKE president, Kelly Foster Griffin will present on Katalin Forrai and her influence on Early Childhood, and show how to make felt finger puppets. Christopher Roberts will demonstrate engaging ways to practice comparative concepts (beat/rhythm, high/low, etc) using a two-sided flip paddle. Nathalie Ariadne will share music from Indonesia. There will be a session on sequencing singing games led by Heidi McIlroy and a session on adaptive spoons and songs and games to use them with led by Griffin Becker. Don’t miss the yummy morning and lunchtime treats, the camaraderie and hands-on time to “Make & Take” these ideas shared by our talented NWKE members!

Clock hours available through WMEA.
