NWEA Workshop for Teachers & Administrators - August 16, 2016
Are you interested in learning how to utilize student growth data next year? Identifying practical strategies to support all learners? Communicating with parents and families about the NWEA MAP and students' growth over time? Join us for a special set of workshops with Michael Koranda, Senior Professional Development Consultant, from NWEA. Michael is a champion of Catholic education, former teacher and leader, and an expert in using MAP data to improve student instruction. Each school can register one educator for the advanced workshop on 8/15 and an additional educator for the workshop on 8/16.

On Tuesday, August 16, Michael and his colleague will continue to support all schools and to deliver content around reporting, interpreting, and accessing resources through NWEA's administrative portal and Destination PD. It is the perfect workshop for leaders and teachers who participated in the professional development cycle last year and are continuing to deepen their understanding of how MAP data can be used to improve instruction. The same workshop will be offered twice -- once in the morning from 8:45 to 11:45 AM and again in the afternoon from 12:30 to 3:30 PM. Each school is guaranteed two seats for the Tuesday workshop (e.g., two seats in the morning session, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, or two in the afternoon session).

You are encouraged to select the times on each day that best work with your schedule. However, it is important to note that as with the previous trainings, the number of seats per session is limited by NWEA. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis. The cost is covered by the NWEA professional development fee for 2016-17.
