Event Title: Timekeepers Within: Understanding Circadian Rhythms for Human Health Speaker: Dr. Vishal Gohel

Join us for an illuminating talk with Dr. Gohel as we explore the powerful internal clocks that govern our sleep, metabolism, mood, and overall health.

In this engaging session, you'll learn how circadian rhythms influence nearly every system in the body—and how disruptions to these rhythms can impact long-term well-being. Discover practical strategies to align your lifestyle with your natural biological rhythms to enhance energy, focus, and resilience. Don’t miss this opportunity!

Dr. Vishal Gohel was born and raised in Danbury, Connecticut. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in physiology and neurobiology at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT in 2012. During his college years, Dr. Gohel first became exposed to the dental field after breaking a front tooth during a sporting accident. Following a great experience having it treated, he sought out opportunities to observe local dental practitioners to learn more about clinical practice, and his developing interest led him to apply to dental school. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University in 2017, graduating in the top 10% of his class with the highest honors. In dental school, Dr. Gohel became passionate about the field of periodontology. He went on to complete his specialty training in periodontics at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. At UNC, he also earned his Master of Science degree, conducting cutting-edge animal research focused on the healing patterns of novel bone grafting biomaterials. In 2021, Dr. Gohel became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, certifying the highest designation in the field of periodontics. Dr. Gohel’s special areas of interest include bone regeneration, soft tissue grafting, anterior esthetic dental implants, and minimally invasive approaches to surgery.

Dr. Gohel strives to remain at the forefront of clinical advances in the field with ongoing continuing education, and maintains involvement with numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, International Team for Implantology, Academy of Osseointegration, and the International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons. He is also engaged locally, with involvement in the Northern Virginia Dental Society and Spear Study Club. It is the doctor’s goal to provide comprehensive, quality periodontal and implant care in a gentle, comfortable environment.

Outside of practice, Dr. Gohel enjoys reading, fitness, sports, spending time with family, and exploring local shops and restaurants in the DMV.
