NRA FIRST Steps Orientation - Semiautomatic Pistol
Overview
NRA FIRST Steps Orientation - Semiautomatic Pistol is an Instructor-led class that familiarizes students with the key aspects of their specific semi-automatic pistol. Students will provide their firearm, and we will go over the major components, operations, proper loading and handling, basic marksmanship techniques, maintenance and cleaning, storage, popular options, and more. The goal is to instill confidence and competence in new semi-automatic pistol owners who may be unfamiliar with their modern, sophisticated personal firearms.
The course provides approximately 4 hrs. of classroom presentation. Shooting at a local range is NOT included. Optional one-on-one instruction is available if personalized marksmanship training is desired. Strict firearms safety protocols will be observed at all times. Personal firearms and ammunition will not be allowed in the classroom.
