Course Overview
Join us at the Silver Eagle Group for a one-on-one self-defense firearms refresher designed to reinforce existing skills and ensure you’re prepared for real-world defensive scenarios. This intensive course combines classroom instruction and live-fire range practice to strengthen your shooting fundamentals, improve speed and accuracy, and ensure proper firearm care and maintenance.
Prerequisites
- Prior firearms experience (not a beginner course)
- Must own and bring your own firearm
- Must be legally eligible to possess a firearm
- Must demonstrate safe handling throughout the course
Firearms Types Accepted
- Handgun (semi-auto or revolver)
- Rifle
- Shotgun
What to Bring/Wear
- Gun locked (unloaded) with two magazines in the gun case (or speedloader for revolver)
- 100 rounds of ammunition - 40 practice / 60 qualification
- Holster used for everyday carry (self-defense holster)
- Cleaning kit and gloves
- Eye and ear protection (or rent from SEG)
- Old shoes (closed toe), old jeans, shirt tucked in, belt fitted for holster
- Lockable gun case for transport

How do you want to get there?
Classroom Training (Approx. 2 Hours)
* Review of basic pistol operation and shooting fundamentals * Refresh on range safety rules and proper loading/unloading procedures * Understanding situational awareness and response * Written review and knowledge check * Firearm disassembly and cleaning practice * No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom
On the Range (Approx. 2 Hours)
* Identify and demonstrate all 8 shooting fundamentals: Stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, breath control, follow-through, and reset * Practice drawing from the holster * Live-fire drills focused on speed and accuracy at 7 yards and further * Qualification exam: 40 rounds for practice / 60 rounds to qualify * Passing score: 80% or above
