Course Overview
Join us at the Silver Eagle Group for a hands-on, full-day experience learning the fundamentals of pistol shooting. This course is ideal for first-time shooters and experienced individuals seeking a refresher to strengthen fundamentals, build confidence, and improve accuracy.
Under expert supervision, participants will learn:
- Firearm safety rules and responsible handling
- Basic pistol operation
- Proper loading and unloading procedures
- Shooting fundamentals
- Cleaning, maintenance, and range etiquette
Course Details
Format: 6.5 hours of classroom instruction followed by live-fire range qualification
Location: Silver Eagle Group – Ashburn, VA
Included: Range fee
Requirements:
- Students must bring one box of 9mm or .40 caliber ammunition
- Firearms may be rented at Silver Eagle Group
- No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom
Certification & Benefits
Upon successful completion, students will receive an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, which meets the training requirement to apply for a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit.
