Overview

Chattanooga Rocks! The Geologic History of Chattanooga and the Rocks That Tell the Tale, led by Professor Amy Brock-Hon.

Happening on the third Wednesday of every month, Nature by the Pint is a presentation and discussion series led by individuals passionate about a specific topic—often related to nature and the outdoors, particularly in the Chattanooga region. From caves to mushrooms to winemaking, NBTP offers something for everyone, all while you sip on a brew at Oddstory Brewing Company.

Join Amy Brock-Hon, a professor of Geology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, to talk about how the rocks and fossils of the Chattanooga area tell us how Chattanooga has changed and evolved over the past several hundred million years. She'll talk about interesting geologic features that guide us in our understanding of the past, and bring rocks and fossils to touch!
