November 15 - IN-PERSON Walking through the Holidays with Joy

Finding hope, comfort, and community this holiday season

The holidays can be especially hard after the loss of a loved one or a big change in your life. That’s why we invite you to join us at Powell Church for Walking Through the Holidays with Joy—a gentle, supportive gathering designed to help you prepare for the season ahead.

You’ll be surrounded by others who understand what it’s like to face the holidays with an aching heart. Together, we’ll explore simple ways to rediscover moments of joy, create new traditions that honor your loss, and make space for both sadness and celebration.

We’ll also talk about what it means to have a “Plan A” and a “Plan B” for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays—and share self-care practices that can help you take care of yourself during this busy time of year.

Most of all, this time is about you—finding support, encouragement, and a bit of light as you walk through the season with hope.

This FREE event is open to Knoxville and the surrounding communities.

Sponsored by Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Church and Walking with Joy~Loss & Grief Recovery.

The event will provide breakfast and door prizes.
