This program is part of the Absurd Classroom, a multi-day gathering inviting artists, students, and community members to earn an Alternative Certificate in Studio Art through playful, participatory programs designed to spark reflection, connection, and growth. The Absurd Classroom embraces absurdism as a lens for creative transformation and resistance—leaning into uncertainty, collaboration, and joy as radical tools for challenging the norm and fostering self-determined growth.

All events are free, welcoming, and open to all—no fees, no prerequisites, just a shared commitment to community + creativity

This project is made possible with the support form The Idea Fund. The Idea Fund is a re-granting program administered by DiverseWrokes, Aurora Picture Show, and Project Row Houses and funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
