In each episode, Jeff and his special guests look at our rapidly changing world from a different angle — visionaries who might see things in those shifting tides that we can’t, who might be able to tell us where the currents are taking us. About Jeff Chang:

Jeff Chang’s book, Can't Stop Won't Stop: A History of the Hip-Hop Generation, was named one of the best U.S. nonfiction books of the last quarter century. His bylines have appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, The Guardian, and the San Francisco Chronicle. He has been a Lucas Artist Fellow and has received the American Book Award, the Asian American Literary Award, and the USA Ford Fellowship in Literature. He is the host of the Signal award-winning podcast, Edge of Reason. His next book, Water Mirror Echo: Bruce Lee and the Making of Asian America (Mariner), will be published in September 2025.

How to get to the Warfield Commons:

We encourage using public transportation or Uber/Lyft/Waymo. Drop off location is 988 Market Street. Both the Powell and Civic Center Stations work great.If you decide to drive, paid parking with an attendant is available across the street at IKEA, with the entrance on Stevenson Street. Please note cars are not currently allowed on Market Street.
