Join Poliana Danila to explore the timeless skill of bookbinding in this hands-on workshop! Using a variety of traditional structures and materials, you will learn the ancient art of Coptic stitch binding (a technique that allows your book to lay flat when open) to create your own handmade notebook journal. Whether you're a beginner or simply curious on learning new crafting techniques, this workshop is perfect for you! All materials will be provided.

Light refreshments will be served. This workshop runs from 10am to 4:30pm, and there will be a break for lunch at 12:30pm. Lunch pre orders can be placed when checking in at the farmstand.

About the instructor: 

Poliana Danila is an educator, broom maker, and fiber artist who lives in the Hudson Valley and loves working with any plants nature has to offer. Originally from Romania, Poliana grew up watching her parents and grandparents work in the garden, teach at local schools, and process wool from their sheep into woven rugs. Poliana holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Landscape Design and Horticulture, and has continued to further her craft and knowledge at the New York Botanical Garden, Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and Fiber Craft Studio in Spring Valley.
