Come hang out with us in the Normanskill garden for gardening or special activities.
From June to August, we will focus on preparing the garden. You'll help us with various tasks to help our plant friends, including weeding, watering, harvesting, moving soil, and more.
From September to October, we will continue working in the garden. We will also have a concerted effort to help clean the barn from the previous season's sheep and alpaca manure to prepare them for their return in the fall. We use this manure in our garden as compost, and you are welcome to take any sheep/alpaca manure with you during these sessions. There will be something for everyone to do, and we can expect a fun learning experience.
About our garden: Our garden is a collective garden experience, meaning we will collaborate to co-create our garden space with the Earth and each other. Harvest is shared with all, and anyone is welcome to join us.
This work day occurs at the Brother Yusuf Memorial Garden along the Normanskill River. View directions.
