Nonprofit Resilience Network Funder Open House Overview

The SouthCoast Community Foundation invites you to join us for a special open house to celebrate the launch of the Nonprofit Resilience Network (NRN)—a new, permanent arm of the Foundation designed to strengthen the South Coast’s nonprofit ecosystem.

As a valued funding partner in the region, your insights and collaboration are key to the NRN’s long-term success. This open house will offer an opportunity to explore how the NRN supports nonprofits, while also fostering deeper alignment and connection among funders.

What to Expect

During the open house, funders can expect to:

  • Tour our new Learning Center convening space.
  • Preview the NRN Fall Learning Series for nonprofits.
  • Hear how the NRN supports funders.
  • Demo the Resilia platform, a national nonprofit capacity-building tool.
  • Learn how the NRN was shaped by direct input from local nonprofits.
  • Connect with fellow funders and regional partners

Accessibility

The Foundation’s offices are located at 350 Union Street in New Bedford, in a historic mid-1800s home. Free on-street parking and a small lot are available.

Please note: entry requires walking up five stairs, and some doorways may be narrower than modern standards. We recognize this limits participation and are actively prioritizing facility upgrades. If you have questions or need assistance before or during your visit, please contact us at nrn@southcoastcf.org.

Nonprofit Resilience Network Overview

The Nonprofit Resilience Network (NRN) deepens our longstanding commitment to strengthening South Coast nonprofits, the organizations that deliver the vital services our communities rely on every day.

Built directly in response to what local nonprofits told us they need most, the NRN offers support beyond grants—through learning opportunities, strategic partnerships, and practical tools that help organizations grow and lead.

The NRN provides nonprofits with:

  • Grants and organizational support.
  • A place to gather, learn, and connect.
  • Access to 1:1 coaching and consulting.
  • Free online resources and data to guide decision-making.
  • Technical assistance grants to strengthen operations and build long-term capacity.

The NRN also fosters meaningful collaboration among nonprofits, funders, and consultants, helping to strengthen the entire South Coast nonprofit ecosystem.

For funders, the NRN offers:

  • Opportunities for pooled funding and cross-sector collaboration.
  • The SouthCoast Indicators Project – a shared regional data dashboard launching in 2026.
  • Quarterly SouthCoast Funders Debriefs to inform grantmaking strategy and strengthen alignment across the sector.

We know our region is only as strong as its nonprofits. With the NRN, we are proud to make this kind of dedicated nonprofit support, long embraced by community foundations across the country, a permanent part of our work on the South Coast.
