During this learning event we will discuss how Leaders can provide support during non-traditional hours of care. We will go over the differences of how to staff regarding the staff-to-child ratios and appropriate rest periods for children and ways to incorporate family engagement strategies during these hours of care.

Training Objectives:

1 . Learners will get an understanding of how to provide strong administrative support for non-traditional hours of care.

2 . Learners will attain strategies to support Rest and Ratios- Staffing from the administrative perspective.

3 . Learners will discuss ways to incorporate family engagement strategies during these hours of care.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.

The Children’s Cabinet must follow Nevada Registry training guidelines in issuing credit for our webinar training’s. The Nevada Registry states,  “To receive credit for attending a training, it is imperative that attendees be present at the training for the entire scheduled time frame. If the accumulated time out of class (including late arrivals, extended breaks and early departures) extends beyond 15 minutes total, then no class credit should be granted. (Approval codes are specific to the number of hours approved and cannot be adjusted for partial attendance).” Additionally, so we can account for each participant, all attendees must register and attend under their own name.
