No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Training for Services
By Sundial Centre for Education on Harmful Practices
Online event
Overview
Training on "no recourse to public funds" delivered by Sundial Centre for Education on Harmful Practices (formerly OAC).
Join Sundial Centre for Education on Harmful Practices for an online session on No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).
Victims of domestic abuse, who have a No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) condition attached to their immigration status, often face barriers to accessing support and safety from abuse. Without professional support to help navigate services and pathways, victims with NRPF can find themselves alone facing homelessness and destitution.
This workshop will cover:
- The NRPF rule and to whom it applies
- How the NRPF rule impacts victims and families, entitlement to domestic abuse services and homelessness pathways
- Services and support restrictions
- Legal mechanisms available
- Agencies for referrals, support and signposting.
Please join us for this informative session led by Vania Martins, our Domestic Abuse Specialist.
