About this event
The purpose of this workshop is to normalize and process through distress, anxiety, and fear in response to the collective trauma that is happening in our country and around the world. We continue to navigate unprecedented times due to an increase in harmful/hurtful rhetoric targeting marginalized communities, codified bigotry and vitriol, funding meant to support and provide much-needed resources getting slashed, and our country’s continued support of state-sanctioned violence and genocide.
Through EMDR resourcing, processing, and community care, we can move through this together. The country may not be heading in a direction that feels aligned, supportive, or even safe; but at least we have each other to get through it.
The biggest difference this group will make in folks’ lives is the space to process through the horrors of today within aligned and safe community.
Folks who participate will engage in EMDR resourcing and processing, which will allow each participant’s brain to move, process, and experience clarity and resilience. By doing this in community with others, it will decrease feelings of isolation, thereby normalizing and destigmatizing trauma symptoms while also processing through them together.
Workshop schedule: July 15, July 29, August 12, August 26, September 9, September 23
5:30-7:00 pm PST | 8:30-10:00 pm ET
