No Future without Us: Indigenous Knowledges and Climate Justice.

Join us at the Memorial Union for a thought-provoking event that explores the intersection of Indigenous Knowledges and Climate Justice. Learn from Diego Tituaña, a member of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, about the vital role Indigenous communities play in the fight against climate change. The presentation will suggest that climate justice cannot be achieved without recognizing, respecting, and integrating Indigenous ways of relating to land, water, and non-human beings. It will discuss collaborative strategies for environmental stewardship, resistance to extractive industries, and the defense of territorial sovereignty.

By insisting “No Future without Us,” this forum envisions climate solutions grounded in plural worlds, reciprocal relations, and Indigenous leadership.
