Veterans Transition Support (VTS) is a nonprofit based in San Marcos, California. We support transitioning service members, veterans, and spouses by providing no-cost and low-cost job training, mentorship, and career transition support to help them successfully enter the civilian workforce.

Step 2: Verification of Military Service

After registering, activate your Coursera account by submitting ONE proof of service.

• .MIL Email
• Military ID (front only, redact barcodes)
• VA Card (front only)
• Military Pay Stub / LES (redact SSN/sensitive info)
• VA.gov Proof of Service

Military Spouses (Current Spouse Only):

• Spouse Military ID (redact barcodes), OR
• Active-duty spouse email from .mil account, OR
• Veteran spouse email with Spouse ID + Veteran ID + Marriage License (if last names differ)

Step 3: After Verification

• Processing Time: 24–72 hours (weekend & Volume delays possible)
• Email Confirmation: Coursera will send you a “JOIN” link
• Enrollment Confirmation: The VTS logo will appear in your Coursera dashboard

• One year of free access (from enrollment date)
• Unlimited courses during your active period
• Accounts inactive for 45+ days may be deactivated
