Description


Notice is hereby given of the next NNCEE Annual General Meeting which will take place at The Abbey Theatre, Pool Bank Street Nuneaton. Warwickshire. CV11 5DB, on Tuesday 15th October 2019 10am - for 10.30am start.

You will have been emailed copies of the agenda, details of how to get there, last year’s minutes, and the forms to nominate members to the national committee. Please email wendy.lancaster@cambridgeshire.gov.uk if you have not got them.

We have guest speakers from Nottinghamshire Youth Council talking about child employment.

As well as updates on the Child Employment survey, updates on our new website and the launch of new revised and updated guidance.

There are a number of posts requiring election:-

    1. Hon Secretary
    2. Membership Secretary
    3. Public Relations


Members wishing to stand for any of the above posts must submit a nomination (see attached) which is formally proposed and seconded in accordance with NNCEE constitution, to be received by the Secretary (Wendy Lancaster wendy.lancaster@cambridge.gov.uk no later than 14 days prior to the AGM - (1 October 2019). Nomination forms and details of the requirements for each role are attached.

A free buffet lunch will be available which will cater for vegetarian dietary requirements. If you have other particular food allergies / dietary requirements please consider bringing your own lunch. Tea and coffee on arrival, as well as bottles of water will also be available.

It is important that we know if you will be able to attend so we do not waste money on un-required food so please book your free ticket via Eventbrite as usual.

We have avoided showing timings as the speakers are yet to confirm what best suits their travel arrangements. Their talks will be extremely interesting and relevant to current and future issues. There will be the opportunity to ask questions.

Directions

The theatre is off the A444, off Queens Road. From the town centre, follow Queens Road westwards until you reach High Street, by the Lidl supermarket. Turn into High Street (right) then first left into Pool Bank Street. The Abbey Theatre is by the recreation park at the end of this short road.

Parking
There is a reasonably sized pay and display car park (council run). Charges are £4.00 for all day. Do not park on the paved area immediately in front of the theatre.

NB -the Lidl store car park is NOT available for use by theatre users. This car park is also locked by the staff when the store closes, and Lidl will not facilitate re-opening for any vehicle that has been improperly parked there.

By Rail
Nuneaton Station is on one of the local main line routes, with regular trains from most regional locations such as Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester and Tamworth as well as many other cities such as London and Manchester etc

Buses
Nuneaton Bus Station is a local hub for many local and regional routes, located within a few hundred yards of the British Rail station. Queens Road is on many of the local routes
