David Brand, Ph.D. is the Director of Training of the Adult Training Program in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy at NIP, where he also teaches and supervises.  He is additionally on the faculty of the Derner Institute at Adelphi University and the Steven Mitchell Relational Study Center. 


Karen Perlman, Ph.D., LP, is a psychoanalyst in private practice in New York and Connecticut. A graduate of the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, she is an associate editor of Psychoanalytic Perspectives, and on the editorial board of the the American Journal of Psychoanalysis. Her current interests include parenting and child development, as well as working psychoanalytically with schools and families.
